After quite some time drooling over the fantastic matte paintings I see around here I decided to take the plunge.

...and here it is my attempt. I thought I would like to play on the idea of evasion and escape : from everyday life, from the 'prison' of crowded cities...from whatever seems appropriate to you.

FYI: the statue is not a Buddha (is based on a Sumerian statue), and the piece hasn't ( in my intention) any references to religion or belief.
